Default He scammed using PayPal !!!

Thats what happend to one buyers who used PayPal

Where: Alibaba(Trading Website) Listing (www.alibaba.com)
Who: Bdi Technologies
Payment: PayPal
How Much: $865.00 USD
What: PSPs
Scammers e-mail: john_damato@juno.com
Scammers Fake Name: John Mendesa

This sucks. Can't believe I actually got scammed. I'm usually pretty good with these things. They accepted PayPal! What the hell! DON'T LISTEN TO ANYONE THAT SAYS PAYPAL IS SAFE FOR PAYMENTS OUTSIDE OF EBAY
I filed a dispute with PayPal, and it was decided in my favor, but they said they couldn't get anything from the seller's account!

This was there response...
"We have completed our investigation of this case. We attempted to process a refund from the seller's account to your account. Unfortunately, the seller's account does not contain the funds necessary to cover this refund. We were able to recover $0.00 USD. We have taken action against the seller and are working to recover the remainder of your refund. We will contact you when we have more information. No further action is required of you at this time."
This scammer will obviously never make a deposit in his FAKE account.

I thought payPal would be able to withdraw the funds from the seller's bank account. That's not the case; the seller has to have money in his/her PayPal account to be able to receive anything.
Anyone can be scammed by PayPal, all they have to do is open an account, scam someone, get the funds transferred to their bank account, then close the account

yes, this happen to me before for small fund, i know this, i don't suggest user paypal for wholesale trading. scammers can change account or remove bank info after payment, or closed bank account, you can not do anything if they are non-usa base, even in usa account, they still can scam you. this is the bad about paypal, why do you go alibaba, they are full of scammers. you know this. and you still trust them. i really don't know what to say to you

Yous should have known these way ealier, if you have been using paypal for awhile already. If you would have read about paypal for closely you would have realized the trap. There are three methods of paypal at the moment to our eyes.

Buying an item on ebay.
Buy an item outside ebay using paypal account
Buy an item outside ebay using credit card via paypal.

The first two options, are pretty much the same same, you'd have the same results. If the seller has withdrawn the funds already, then your out of luck.

The last option is the only one that provides protection. Fortunally, if you make a dispuet with your credit card company, they will take over with paypal magenments and they will recover all or almost all your funds. Paypal is heck scared of credit card company calls, they'll do ANYTHING to cause peace.

No one's fualt here besides yours.

Regards,
Martin

Default Buyers can scam through payal too!

I had a buyer try to scam me through paypal. After the buyer paid me through paypal, I sent the goods (over $4000US worth of jewelry) to them. I paid for insurance, tracking, and delivery confirmation through the United States Post Office. Two days after the goods were shown by USPS to have been delivered, the buyer claimed they did not receive the goods, and had paypal put a hold on my account while they investigated. I had All my receipts, and even an email from the buyer stating that the item was delivered, but she was not home to receive it.

I turned every reciept in to paypal, and it took over 6 months to resolve the problem. For the 6 months that paypal froze my funds, every time anyone else paid me through paypal- those funds were held as well. By the time paypal finally agreed with me that I had done nothing wrong, and freed my funds, my business had suffered some serious financial problems. In the end, I did get my money back, but it was Not right that paypal would take So long to figure out what was so obvious- the woman was trying to get over $4000 worth of jewelry from me for nothing! Thankfully I won the case- but the 6 months of investigation damaged my business financially.

I use a credit card processing company for all major transactions now, and keep paypal payments for orders under $1000 only.

In my opinion, paypal is the only method some people feel comfortable using online, and so a business almost needs to accept payments that way. But- make sure you have a back-up plan in case Paypal freezes your account. Also- ALWAYS keep ALL your receipts! And if you are a seller, ALWAYS purchase insurance, delivery confirmation, and tracking. In my case- that was the only way I could prove that I was telling the truth- otherwise, I am sure I would have lost not only the goods which I shipped, but also the money!

Hope this helps someone else!

your case is long, take 6 months, usually they take 2 month the most, i don't suggest anyone use paypal more than $500
merchant account is good to do wholesale or escrow service
