Default Want to buy leads? Avoid LIST BUILDER Pro like the plague

Want to buy leads? Avoid LIST BUILDER Pro like the plague

(Listbuilderpro.com; Listmedia; Worldwidelists Community)

You know the leads that you can buy to get people to "signup"
for your news letter?

The idea is you then send out a newsletter with good information
(in my case work from home) and then you can build a
relationship and send out an "offer" a few times a month. Also
you promote your business opportunity to them!

I purchased 10,000 double optin leads/month from List Builder
Pro for $US649.75 for a "one month" deal.

The second month came around and I receive an account from
2checkout.com billing me for another month ($US650)

I contacted them to explain that I signed up for a 1 off
deal.

They later contacted me to say the charge was cancelled and I
thought nothing of it.

Big mistake. I know this will sound dumb but it turns out I
didn’t scan my Credit Card Statement for that month.

End of financial year and I was going through all my statements
and I then discovered that I had been charged for the second
lot of leads.

2checkout.com said sorry but it was between me and List Builder.
Erik James from list builder is not communicating with me.

It took about 4 months for the list to reach 10,000 and when it
continued to grow (I am thinking I only bought 10k) I figured
they probably give 10% extra to makeup for duds.

When I grew beyond that I emailed list builder 3 times informing
them that I had reached, what I thought was my quota. They
never replied.

So the list ended up growing to > 15,000 but never reached to
20,000 they have illegally charged me for.

As far as the list goes, they are the biggest duds of all
time.

At best I have not made one cent out of it. The people are
supposed to be signing up for news letters about starting home
business on line and yet not one person has taken up any offers.

I have sent numerous opportunities that were absolutely free
without getting one taker (out of 15,000 unbelievable)! I
fail to see how this could happen if they were genuine people
looking to start a business.

At worse I have had 100s of rude, abusive and sometimes
threatening emails from people tell me to stop emailing
them.

Remember this is double optin, where someone clicks a link to
get the newsletter and then they receive an email asking them to
verify their intentions to receive the emails.

I just want to share this with you in the hope it will save someone
else from being cheated.

Have you have any dealings with them?

Kev

LIST BUILDER Pro is the only service of its kind with
over 55 pages (250+) testimonial and success stories from
some real people just like you. In fact, many of the top
Internet marketers also endorse LIST BUILDER Pro.

(NOTE: I have intentionally added spaces in the URL
because this forum will not allow new users to add URLs
to their posts until they have submitted 15 posts.)

Our top client, Mark Joyner, is considered the "godfather of
Internet marketing, and we continue to send him over
10,000 opt-ins per month, each and every month.

So, while it is disappointing that someone has written a
negative post about our service, when deciding which
co-registration company to use for your list building needs,
I would suggest you should consider the overall response
(not just the one negative response) when making your
decision.

LIST BUILDER Pro started online back in the "early days"
of the Internet in 1999. And since then, we have going
strong and our membership continues to grow every year.

By the way, you can do a quick comparison of some of the
leading co-registration services here:

If you have any other questions, let me know and I'll be
pleased to answer them for you.

(You can send me a Private Message here on the forum or
you can contact me at h ttp://w ww.000HelpDesk.com
anytime.)

Continued success,

Erik James

Kev,
I've had problems with listbuilder also. Though not nearly as serious as yours.
I left a PM for Erik here in the forum. If I don't get things resolved directly with Erik, I will post the specific problems I've had.

Default I had the same experience

I had the same experience with List Builder Pro.

I signed up for a 30-day promo. Canceled it at the end of it...and he kept billing me! I figured it was canceled, right?

I didn't look at my credit card statement for 4 months. When I saw the 4 charges, I wrote and told him that I wished to have a refund for the 4 months because I had canceled.

Erik James wrote back that he would process a 1 month refund and he proceded to outline a very complicated way to cancel one's account. I knew I had canceled and gotten an email, so his response got my ire up and I told him the Internet was in many ways a small community. If he didn't do right by me in this situation, I would let it be known. He wrote back and said I was threatening him .... which I guess I was. I was reacting to his greed and horrible customer service. I personally bend over backwards to take care of my customers, yes, even if it is a refund.

Anyway, after several heated exchanges, I sent him the email he sent me about canceling my account after 30 days. He STILL would not refund me. I finally had to do paperwork for a chargeback via my credit card company. I sent the credit card company everything...and they did not hesitate to chargeback the 4 months.

I stopped communcating with him...and haven't heard from him since. "Good riddance to bad rubbish" as the saying goes.

It's no way to do business, Mr. James. I told you it would come back to bite you. I never did anything about it until I just saw this post in the #3 position in Google under List Builder Pro. I just had to chime in!

Oh, to be fair. I never used any of the leads, so I can't comment on their quality.

Yeah, you have 17 pages of testimonials, but so what? I certainly will never do business with you.

Dee
