Avoid www.checkoutdvds.com! Scammers!!!
"Hi,
I would like to share my experience of checkoutdvds.com
It has now been over 2 months with no goods or refund.
I made a small sample order with them back in March....... went ok, not great. I still decided to take the plunge with a large order! Bad mistake.
The goods were supposed to be dispatched in 48hrs of payment.
Since then the excuses have been:
1) Issues of clearing funds in a business account.
2) In an order que
3) Items out of stock
4) Re-stock delivery delay
5) No excuse - Just not sent yet?!
6) Lied about it being shipped.
7) Parcelforce unable to collect.
8) Order sent but were not able to provide the tracking number
9) Back-up courrier break-in at depot - order stolen (they refuse to give me any details)
10) Cant process another order until received insurance money?!
Please note: When I made the order they confirmed the goods were in stock ready for dispatch.
Since I asked for a refund (within my own right.... I'm sure you agree) they became agressive and said I am not their type of customer!!! (ie. those not willing to wait 2+mths/forever!!). Now no response to emails or phone calls.
Consumer direct and Trading Standards informed.
I am going to have to pursue recovery action through the small claims courts.
VOID THESE SCAMMERS. DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I MADE."
