Be very careful when sourcing these through supposed suppliers who you are not sure about... Scammers make their money on new products like this.

Hi, I am also interested in purchasing items such as Xbox 360, Sony PSP, Nintendo DS Lite, Nintendo Wii, Sony PS3. I waited outside 36 hours to get 1 Sony PS3. I have funds I can get, they just aren't liquid and I'm not willing to get them until I am sure I can find a legitimate supplier selling real products, not fakes. I really need help with this. I can probably buy in increments of 10 of 1 product, depending on the price. I'm thinking I would be willing to liquidate about $3000 in assets to get this started, and then hopefully I can use the profits to keep it going. My goal is to start out on eBay, and then if/when I can make a steady income from that, starting my own website. But I am trying to do my research so I don't get burned.

Many of the items that you are looking for: "box 360, Sony PSP, Nintendo DS Lite, Nintendo Wii, Sony PS3" have MAP. (minimum allowed price) This means you will not be able to sell the product lower then other sellers or you will loose the rights to sell more of their products (that is why Ipods are always the same price no matter where you get them). You can sell with a higher price, but this will only work on the early days when people want to avoid the rush at the stores. You might look more at using the 3k for games or accessories which is where you can earn a higher margin. You could still sell some of the machines, but the related products are where more of your profits will come from.

Again MAP is not minimum allowed price but actually minimum advertised price which allows you sell below the MSRP but not while advertising the price publically. Read below...

This thin body of authority translates into uncertainty on some key issues.

MAP is a supplier’s policy that its channel members are not permitted to advertise prices below some specified amount (the minimum advertised price). The supplier may or may not have a policy about the channel member’s retail price as well. Such resale price policies present separate but closely related legal issues and are frequently dangerous from an antitrust perspective. "
What you state about iPods always being the same price is not true either. While it is true they are always within a certain price range, I have seen $250 iPod Nano 8gb being sold from numerous authorized retailers between $230 up to $250.
