I am a new business wanting good pricing on my products. How do I start a wholesale business? Is there a license to get? I have a tax id number already. Please help. Thank you.

hi, for most of products, you don't need wholesales license, except drugs, medicaine stuffs, but to start, you need to start your own company, go to visit your accountant, they will help you to start your own business that is all i suggest, tax id and paper works, they will handle it for you, or you can apply this your self according your State,

Actually you don't need to start a business right away. It is not legal to sell products without the business and so fourth but you are free to find suppliers out there before you start. I would recommend that actually. You need to find how you will get your products before you start or else you're screwed(what if they leave, or they are bogus? --- SCREWED!). Most businesses will just ask for your tax id# and sometimes other information (don't give them too much info!) and then they most likely will tell you there services. If you need a business location or what not you may be able to get by sayin you are looking for suppliers. Or if they are legit you could start then go through them or something.

Just visit with an accountant and it's nice to have a lawyer by your side. They will help you with things and guide you through the process.

However, to answer your question...No, you do not need anything else(depending on what you are selling) to get deals on products. Alcohol, cars, drugs, and other things you need extra licenses for. Just check it out, and make sure you got everything first!

i have found a few places that say they are wholesalers but i cant find one place that offers a good price

Keep looking. I may be able to help since I am good at finding a lot of wholesale places. Just don't trust everyone, keep that in mind!
