How to become a wholesaler?
OK, I want to become an electronics wholesaler (anything from ipods to motherboards)but I need some advice. I know that I first need to get a tax ID # and set up a business bank account but what now?
I need to find suppliers right? But where do I turn for reliable small quantity purchases until I can build the business?
Everyone wants to sell there lists online but even those same people warn of scams. So can I go somewhere and find a list of distributers on my own for free?
Any and all advice is appreciated.

Most good quailty suppliers are off line there's a few online you just need to do a lot of research

Hi 3rdCoast,
Do you want to become an actual wholesaler and carry physical stock, or do you just want to set up the deals between end buyers and suppliers as a broker?

Presently as a small start up venture I'd have to lean towards the latter, being a middle man I guess until I raise enough capital.
Long term, though, I want to carry stock.

The best thing you should do right now, is becoming an agent for a good company. In this process you'll learn lots of tactics and the elements of trade in this position job. At the same time you'll be earning your 3-4% of each unit as an agent.
