Thread: How to recognize a website legit or fake?

Hi, to start with you can do a who-is on the domain name. Go to whois [dot] net. You may want to try to get a hold of the owners that way. Also take note of how the domain is and verify check to see how long the claim to be in business. Most valid business will include a phone number. Call them. Talk to somebody. Also type in the domain name as a search on Google and see if any complaints come up. That should get your started. GL

well, i think there are many ways to check the website is legit or fake.
Such as company address, phone number, fax number, email, msn, etc on their page.
If possible, call them and check it.
Or you can search the company name on google. And there will be a lot of info out if it exist.

And you will get much information....then, you can distinguish they are legit or not....

you can ask some persons in the same business or occupation.and you can try buying a little goods from there ,then i think you can know it .
