Sounds your supplier tender to make little money from the freight. Why not find a forwarder from your end?
Hello Everyone,
I am new to this forum and new to importing items. I was hoping that someone could help me out. My company is looking to import what they call aluminium composite panels from China. We have made contact with a couple of distributors and they want us to order larger quantity amounts then we want but we are in negotiations to reduce this amount. I gues my questions involves shipping and custom taxes. The items will be imported to the United States and was wondering if anybody knows how to findout how much the custom fees and taxes will cost. I have the HS code it is 7606124000 and we will be paying roughly $28.00 per a panel. Also they quoted us a shipping price of $2400 to ship a 20foot container from China to San Diego California via sea, is this a good price?
Thanks,
Mike
