OEM is "Original Equipment Manufacturer" which usually means the brand name owner. Ford, HP, Canon, Apple, Ralph Lauren, etc. are OEMs.
Factories that say OEM mean they contract for the real OEMs, they do components, assemblies, sub-assemblies, complete assembly for the brand holder.
Even a factory that makes the screw that holds the taillight on a car, or the screw that holds the motherboard to a PC can claim to be an OEM supplier, since they do supply that tiny piece of the whole unit.
For a modern automobile or truck there are thousands of suppliers, all of them "OEM suppliers". For a PC there may be nearly 100 different suppliers. Even a shirt has the original fabic supplier, the thread supplier, maybe a button supplier, etc. All can say they are OEM suppliers.
There are also ODMs, which are companies which do their own design and sell their products under their own name or as unbranded or "private label" products for large companies. They design and build the products, but put other peoples names on them.
A wholesaler buys from a factory or a distributor and sells in small quantities to retailers, for the most part. There is more than that, but that is the basic idea.
