So then why has WU been linked to so many scams? I don't think there is a way you can you get your money back if you get shafted.
You have to remember most convienient isn't always the best.

International purchases and money transfers have been around for centuries. It is only on the internet with newbies wanting to go into business with no idea how it really works, and scammers on the other end, taking advantage of the newbies.
If you go to resources.alibaba dot com it will give you a good explanation of common international terms.
You can also do a google for "international payment methods".
Keep in mind, these are old ways of doing business. They were in effect when your great-great grandmother's set of China dishes came here on a clipper ship a couple of hundred years ago.
They have worked well for centuries. And there were crooks and scammers then, but it was easier to put out a bounty on them. Now, you can't just pay someone to track them down and tie them to four horses and send off the horses in different directions. PETA might complain......

I am supplier. Ordinarily,we deal in bank T/T,L/C and D/P.
But at present deal,my client ask for direct L/C as payment terms. That is,they give order, and we lease the good to shipment, after many days, maybe 30 or 60 days, they will pay in 100% bank T/T.In this process, they not open L/C.
I am not sure for this payment method. If anyone here have some opinion about this kind of payment term?
Thank you.
Alma
