Thread: Question re: Asian DVD Imports - Region Free

G'day All,

I have recently been asking around for DVD wholesalers and was contacted by many companies, most of which were from China, offering Region Free DVD's (at much lower costs than say, Region 4).

Some of these were very obviously fake via the photos, but I was speaking to one gentleman who's products do look legit (properly boxed, and he assures me they are not copies / are legal).

Of course, they are the Asian releases, so the boxes / packaging are slightly different and there are apparently some Asian Characters on disks / box, but I am assured the products themselves are legit.

Having nothing to do with the market, I was wondering if these deals truely are legit. Is there any way to spot reals from fakes?
