Drop-ship means that you send single unit orders for products to manufacturers, or major stocking distributors, who in turn drop ship the merchandise direct to the customers of yours. Manufacturers or distributor providing drop shipping services can save your time and the trouble of storage. In a word, Drop shipper will ship your products, as you sell them, directly to your customer, with your name on the packing list

The essense of dropshipping is that a supplier, factory or wholesaler allows you to sell their product and have it despatched to an address other than your own (ie. directly to your customer). Be sure to only use reliable dropshippers though. Reliable dropshippers will always have secure payment methods such as paypal or credit card. If they only offer western union or wire transfer do not deal with them as there is no way to get your money back if they send faulty goods or send nothing at all. To find dropshippers I recommend trying salehoo.com, they offer a service where they research companies (and they have thousands of them) who they keep on their database. You can search for a specific product even. There is a one off payment to join unlike many similar services who expect you to pay a monthly subscription fee. And they regularly update the database, adding new companies and removing obsolete or unreliable ones. Oh, and their one off payment is cheaper than many similar sites too.

Please be aware that there are lots of fake and bootleg dvd's and cd's in China. Be very careful if you plan on selling these in the US.

WL101, you have a business experience with a company who comes from China, right? You are cheated by them? Why do you say that? It is not fair for all China company.

I have been in this business for quite sometime now and from my experience this holds to be true. Almost all items from China are replicas or fakes. There are also China suppliers that only accept wire transfers. If you wire a stranger money you have no way of getting your money back if something were to go wrong and it usually does. I am not saying this is true for all suppliers from China and I don't want to hurt the reputation of the few good ones left. Just be sure to check out and research a company before making a purchase! I have seen so many people get scammed over and over again.

Replicas，fakes, scams, as a chinese supplier, it made me sad. I must recognize that the system of producing in China still need to be improved. Some of products have infringed upon property-rights. You can choose not to accept these products. But we aslo have our own Brands which at low prices, in high quality. I think they are really good. About the way of payment, not only included bank wire transfer, if you dont believe it, never use it. PP, escrow, credit cards. All of these are reliable.

Yes Violet, there are very few suppliers who sell fake stuff that you can trust.

As WL101 said you should never wire money or pay by Money Order.
Also beware that your shipment can be seized by customs and you could be facing some hefty fines $25,000 and up!

Last week the feds seized a whole bunch of fake designer merchandise at a South Carolina Flea Market. All the guilty vendors are facing fines!

So just be very careful
